
Alina Bălan
Design Thinking Facilitator
Alina Bălan is a facilitator who naturally blends strategic business thinking—strengthened through her EMBA at the Maastricht School of Management—with the humancentered approach of Design Thinking, which she applies in the collaborative workshops she leads for her clients.
She currently serves on the board of the International Association of Facilitators Romania and is an Academic Board Expert at the European Institute for Sustainability, where she teaches the course “Designing for Sustainability.”
For five years, as a partner at Design Thinking Society, she coordinated co-creation and training projects for organizations such as Antibiotice SA, BCR, BearingPoint, Carrefour, Deloitte, EY, Google, HP, ING, Leroy Merlin, Lidl, OTP, Pall-Ex, and Raiffeisen Bank, while also teaching Design Thinking, Service Design, and Innovation at the Entrepreneurship Academy.
Before that, she accumulated more than 14 years of experience in PR, advertising, and branding at agencies including Golin, BrandTailors, and Mullen, where she developed award-winning campaigns at both local and international levels.
